But it is with his painting: “Still life with blue chairs”, that he is registered in 1991, with the “WHO’S WHO INTERNATIONAL-ART”, and with the “GREAT AND NEW NAMES of CONTEMPORARY PAINTING”. - in 2000, Miss LELEGARD, curator of the city museum of VIRE, came to her studio to choose 34 paintings for the city. Roland LE LABOURIER paints, mainly, in oil. He did some watercolors and pastels. He enjoys pencil drawing and engraving (aquatint and etching). In 1987, he had a book of cartoons published: ´´Galerie de portraits´´, alas, today, out of print and hard to find. He loves humor and witticisms. He willingly gives himself the grumpy air and ´´loud-mouth´´ But it is probably to hide his great shyness, his extreme sensitivity, and his beautiful generosity. Faithful in friendship, he is an endearing Being. In 2010, he chose to retire to TORIGNI-sur-VIRE, in the Manche department. Now he lives a happy retirement there, with the freedom to paint daily in his studio. How lucky we are to meet him!....
